A checklist for the whole move.

Print it or copy it into your task list. The sections follow the order of a switch, and later steps depend on earlier ones.

Part 1

Before you order

  1. Count your trackers and cameras by model, and note how each model can be set up (by command, SMS or cable).
  2. Check your agreement with your current provider for SIM ownership, notice periods and locked settings.
  3. Choose the address clients will use, such as track.yourcompany.com.
  4. Have your logo ready in a light and a dark version.
  5. Pick a plan with room to spare above your current device count.

Part 2

When the server is ready

  1. Add the DNS record we send you, and wait until the address loads.
  2. Sign in as administrator and check the branding in light and dark mode.
  3. If your platform is supported, give us the admin login and database access for the imports.
  4. If it isn't, upload the device spreadsheet and add client accounts.
  5. Set up the alert rules, zones and groups that weren't imported.
  6. Create billing products and connect your payment gateway.

Part 3

The pilot

  1. Move your own vehicles and one client's fleet.
  2. Compare a working week of trips, ignition, alerts and reports with the old platform.
  3. Test the password reset email and the Fleet app on a real phone.
  4. Fix anything you find before the next batch.

Part 4

Batch by batch

  1. Give the client the date and a few days' notice.
  2. Send their units the new server and port, then check that they come online.
  3. Check the server log for units reporting without an account.
  4. After two days, ask the client whether alerts and reports are coming through.

Part 5

Closing the old account

  1. If your platform is supported, ask us for a final import pass.
  2. Export the reports and invoices you need from the old platform.
  3. Cancel the old account at its next billing date.
  4. Switch on auto-billing on your server.

Questions about the checklist

How long should the pilot batch last?

Long enough to see a normal working week, with trips, ignition, alerts and at least one scheduled report. Five working days is a sensible minimum.

What should I export from the old account?

Anything clients might ask for later that your new server won't have. That means trip and fuel reports for past months, alert history, and any invoices or statements the old system produced.

Put your name on the platform your clients use.

Order online and we'll usually have your branded server running within a day, ready for your first trackers.
