About Rebrand GPS

Rebrand GPS is for tracking companies that already have clients on the road and want to move them onto a platform in their own name. It's written and kept up to date by whitelabelgps, which builds and hosts that platform.

Why we wrote it

Most operators who come to us are resellers of another company's brand, run the software on their own server, or pay a hosted platform per unit. Wherever they start, they ask the same practical questions. They want to know whether the trackers need a visit, what happens to client logins, whether the history can be moved and how billing works afterwards. We've answered them as plainly as we can, including where the answer is no.

The founder of whitelabelgps

Ivan Rushmer founded whitelabelgps, the platform that tracking operators run under their own names. They use it to sell vehicle tracking, camera video and the monitoring of equipment and other assets.

He's worked in telematics since 2014, running tracking services, designing tracker hardware and writing software. That's why he understands the box behind the dashboard as well as the server it reports to.

He works closely with several large telematics manufacturers. Many of the world's GPS trackers are built in China, and he has spent long stretches at factories there, developing new units with the makers.

He writes code across the whole platform, from the tracker protocols and the servers to the portal that clients log in to and the Fleet app on their phones. The platform now supports 4,800 device types, including Queclink, Concox and Teltonika, and each operator gets a dedicated server.

He believes a small tracking company shouldn't need its own software team to offer what the biggest providers offer.
